The AIA awards ceremony was a fantastic event held to honor a select few architects who have done some amazing projects in Charleston over the last year. I was lucky enough to be included in the evening as the photographer. The evening included many of the local big wigs in the architect world, as well as some honored guests who traveled many miles to get here. A fun hang out at Middleton Inn was followed with the awards ceremony. A total of 8 building projects were recognized for their talent of design. The real heart of Africa.
The plains, the Serengeti, the Acacia trees, the animals. These were the last few days of our Kenya trip. We went to Masai Mara, one of the best game parks in Africa, and had a phenomenal animal viewing experience. Animals were not timid about viewers and we were able to get quite close to some of them. The only animals we missed where leopards and rhinos. The huge encounters with lions made up for that though.
